Our Services
Start or Terminate Service
To start water service, please contact the Utilities Office at 252-335-2240 to verify service and fees owed. Fees to start service can be paid online. To pay fees go to this link and type “Pasquotank County” when prompted to enter a service provider. Service fee: $20
Rental Deposit: $100
After paying fees you will get a confirmation statement from the website. You can then download the application form, fill it out, sign, and email it along with a copy of your lease (if applicable), and fee payment confirmation to watersupport@co.pasquotank.nc.us or bring the documents to the office.
To terminate service call the customer service office at (252) 335-2240 during normal business hours.
Cutoff and Reinstatement of Service
Disconnection Policy
Accounts owing two months billing and two 5% penalty are subject to disconnection. Disconnection day will be the day after the second bill is due.
On disconnection day, the account is also required to pay a $40 late fee. The late fee is required no matter if the service is disconnected or not. Once a service has been disconnected, Pasquotank County Water is allowed 24 hours to reconnect service.
Pasquotank County Water Department does not allow for an extension of time beyond the disconnection due date.
Cash, money order or credit card payment only will be accepted once your service has been disconnected.
Meters or connections tampered with upon disconnection, will be charged a tampering fee of $200.00.
Commercial Services
For commercial/bulk water services call or visit the PCUD office.
Backflow Preventer Policy: Mandatory regulations require water suppliers to take steps to ensure that water delivered to homes or businesses remains clean and safe. To address this, approved backflow prevention devices are required for industrial, commercial, and irrigation customers connecting to the Pasquotank County Utilities Department. The customer is responsible for installing and maintaining the device and testing it annually using a PCUD certified tester.
